Horse back trail rides on the beautiful island of St John
Welcome to Carolina Corral, the place to come for scenic horseback trail rides on the beautiful U.S. Virgin Island of St. John. Meet our personable and colorful goats, donkeys, chickens, duck, dogs and cats.
This is a labor of love on a very small island where resources are few and costly. The animals benefit from your patronage and support. All of the horses are either rescues or were no longer wanted by their owners and a good home has been provided for them. If you don’t wish to ride or didn’t find enough time while on island to visit us, you can still make a contribution toward the care of these unique horses and donkeys
New this year: You can sign up on our “Book Now” page to help at the corral with the morning cleaning, feeding, grooming and saddling while learning more about horse and donkey care. Emphasis is placed on basic safety tips and training as well as the needs of each animal. Up to 5 adults and children, preferably 8 years old and above, can assist.
The owner, Dana Bartlett, will be taking a short break from Oct. 3 to Oct. 13. While help will be available, the schedule is limited to one ride a day either morning or afternoon. I’m sure we’ll have a spot for you!
To contribute toward the care of the wild donkeys and other rescues you may do so through PayPal using our email address, firstname.lastname@example.org or by check to The Carolina Corral, 16133 Spring Garden, St. John, VI 00830.
Thanks very much!
